Did you know that the fonts you use in graphic design may not work on the internet?
The problem is that if the user visiting your website doesn't have the same fonts installed on his device that you used on your website, the fonts will be REPLACED by another... And your interface is compromised!!
Ten years ago was common to see websites using only fonts installed by default on everyone's computer like, Arial, Verdana, Georgia, Times new roman ... That was tough for web designers!!
Well, but nowadays, we have two good news for you!
The first one, today there are Webfonts!
Today there is a special version of the fonts for the internet, what are called as webfonts, and they are installed on your website instead of visitors' device, Finally, that's refreshing!
Ok, this is super cool but there's still another question, if you're using paid fonts, there are specific licenses for the webfont version, so check this out before using them!
But what if the project does not have budget to buy webfonts? Are we going to have to use only the Arial font again???
Relax! Now were going to tell the second good news, there is a FREE GIANT WEBFONT LIBRARY!
Google mantain a project where they have created a giant library of free webfonts and it has grown so much that today you may find many alternatives for paid webfonts!
One more thing... You can download the entire font library to your computer! So you can even use them in your graphic design \o/
